The septum with  silicon doxide is located between the cathode and the negative electrode. The main function is to separate the positive and negative active substances and prevent the two poles short. In addition, in the electrochemical reaction, the necessary electrolyte can be maintained to form the channel of ion movement. The diaphragm material is not conductive, and the diaphragm of the battery is different. For SiO2 lithium ion batteries, because the electrolyte is organic solvent system, the silica battery separator has the following properties.

(1) in the battery system, its chemical stability is good.

(2) the mechanical strength is large and the service life is long.

(3) the ionic conductivity of organic electrolyte is lower than that of aqueous solution. In order to reduce resistance, the electrode area must be as large as possible, so the diaphragm must be very thin.

(4) The special silicon oxide resistant silicon diaphragm  crystal lithium battery has good compatibility and compatibility with various solvents of battery separator.
